Poncho Payow!!!

Ladies have you brought your ponchos yet?

This fall we are going to be seeing many styles of clothing. Jacket styles are no exception.

Originating in South America, the poncho, or shawl, made its way in the US, of course with some personal touches and alterations. And, yes we seen many of them this summer, like this featured Forever 21 shirt. I too enjoyed wearing them, as did Indiyah who wore a wonderful  different poncho shirt almost every day.
Forever 21 $9.99

Now, It is soon to be very trendy for fall outerwear.

There is much affordable poncho outerwear and many ways to wear them.

H & M
I really like H&m 's loose, right red, jacket (another color is available). Its a little on the medium-long side and it'll be great for this cooler weather. Plus, this lovely bright color brings a smile to my face, as I know it would to anyone else.

jacket 69.95

Banana Republic:
while in the 5th avenue banana republic store i noticed a trench like, a little lower than waist length, button-up, poncho. i was beautiful. i especially loved the neck assembly, where it was two buttons that can, or not, be assembled by matching fabric.

PHOTO UNAVAILABLE, in store

Victoria's Secret
Vicky is calling their spin on the poncho a cape. They have it in a few colors. I love the animal print inside. This jacket seems pretty fun. Maybe they call it a cape, because you can easily throw it over your should like one, considering there isn't any sleeve holes.
Faux Fur-trim cape $158

Michael Kors
The Kors collection have many ponchos to choose from. The one I believed to be interesting is the turtle neck poncho. Many people laugh when they see people in turtle necks, but I've always liked them. Why not? I think the Kors poncho seem really elegant and it can be used as a dress or sweater. You can really bring your personal style to it, no matter what, by adding accessories.
Turtleneck Poncho, cream $124

Alexander Wang
Wang is not stranger to statement making. And, her new poncho is a great head turner. Though a bit pricey, I believe it will keep you warm and dry. It sort of reminds me of a flight jacket by the material used on the inside and out.
Taffeta Poncho $895 (@ Nordstrom)

American Eagle Outfitters
I adore AE's sweater poncho with buttons. I love the fact that you are able to unbutton the poncho however you'd like and even wear it as a shawl, sleeveless. It comes in a gray and red, as well.
Cable poncho $69.50

Free People
Last, but definitely not least, Free people seemed to also bring the heritage of the poncho with their bohemian design. I love the color and the retro style.
On The Fringe Poncho $49.95

I'm sure there are many other lowered priced ponchos out their but these are the "affordable" ones i seemed to think interesting.

There are also many stores that do not have their ponchos and new jackets on line. Try going out to the mall or a store and you can see for yourself. There are also discount stores, department stores, and boutiques, with great ponchos and other clothing, for that matter.

Fall Forth with Sustainable Fashion (MEN)

Hey, fellas!!

I know you guys are noticing the ladies shopping wild for the back to school/autumn clothing and not to mention that almost everything is on sale!

DONT MISS OUT!

I wanted to do something special for the guys and let them know of great sustainable fashionable wear.

FIRST let me start off by saying sustainable fashion, or eco fashion, is said to help make a greener planet and sustainable living. Ways to make an impact in fashion include the following: using recycled fabric or products (seat belts) to create clothing and or accessories, using organic items (cotton) to create items, using items that can easily decompose, and manufacturing products safely.

Now for items and how they fall into the upcoming autumn trends.

WeWood watches are great, eco-friendly, 100% natural watches are very stylish. The fall is all about texture and great organic colors. And just like that a tree in the fall, brown, orange, and yellow, these watches range in great colors. (prices are about $119)

For the casual male try clothing from Fair Tribe where you can find this hip baseball styled shirt with a great message (IDEO Organic Cotton Life Is Short). Fair Tribe takes pride in their ethical and fun designs.

For the male that loves to work, play, and feel green, there is NAU. Their words exactly "For us, sustainable fashion means timeless colors, smart design, eco-friendly materials and simple care. For you, it means style you'll want to wear more than just one season." And they are just that. They carry a wide range of products, but two coats I really had my eye on for the warm and cool weather at nau.com are as follows:

Why not cover those cool hands while you are on the cold train or when the weather starts getting cold with a couple of Fair Indigo gloves. They allow you to conserve heat while still being able to scroll on your smart device.

And what better item to go with outerwear than a great bag. At Simple there are two great man bags for school or work that carries your item without having to carry the weight of negatively impacting the earth. The asymmetry of this unique bag is definitely a head turner.

Why stop there? Lets get some foot wear. There are many places that carry sustainable footwear but i decided to let you know about TOMS. I truly love this company because they really know the meaning of social responsibility. They give back to the under privileged in addition to creating a sustainable environment. While caring shoes for every occasion in many colors in styles, they carry some great leather (fall trend fabric) styles shoes and some great fall boots. -->

Now you have a great selection of items to mix and match with on each of the sites mentioned. Let me know what you think. If you have found a great outfit, send pictures if the items or links. Thank you.

I hope everyone is enjoying the SALES: summer sales, independence day sales, just because sale, and the we-are-about-to-get-a-SH*T-load-of-new-inventory-so-we-have-to-have-a-sale sales!

I have been trying to enjoy the sales but I seem to be wasting all my money, mostly on cosmetics and food. I did however by some clothing from a few factory stores (my way of thinking I'm saving pesos).

But to all of you folk that are shopping and should be shopping, get the items while they are on sale.

I know you want to wait until black friday or some other holiday, but, clothing wise, now is when you buy the summer and spring clothing, and last winter's inventory! Shop only for sale items until that special friday in November.

If you want to shop all year round start hitting up the outlets and factory stores. Now that I have to support my aspiring businesses I have to keep track of my money while having a shopping habit, therefore I shop for SALES!!

Fashion 2011: WInter Ends as Spring Brightens

Now that the season is starting to warm up, I would love it if I didnt have to still see all the dull colored hues. I love color and so should everyone else. Are you ready to brighten up the end of your winter? With the addition of a little color it can lighten up the mood the bad wether brings. Sprucing up your look, be it makeup. outerwear, businesswear, comfort wear, or even workout clothing, will liven up wear ever you are at.

Bright colors, such as orange, pink, and maybe even a lavender, should be worn as an accessory. Try putting royal purple on your nails or coral on your lips or eyes color some color(s) on your eyes,

Speaking of brightening, Spring is coming in three weeks. The upcoming season has a lot of different trends coming our way.  If you happened to see the fashion week you might have noticed that much of the clothing was leaning toward a relaxed and comfortable fit.  I know you all are tired of seeing pictures from fashion week here are some Spring 2011 styles from stores you may know or buy from. But trust me, these trends aren't just limited to those designers, you should be seeing the styles in any women clothing store, even pretty girl ;).

Like I said, Spring is all about the comfort and loose fit. Featured below is a pair of Hanes' Soft Luxe Wide Leg Pants, in brown, for casual wear. They also come in grey, purple, white, beige, and black. Personally, I would wear these pants in purple, of course, with some flip flops, a cami, and some accessories. is all about the comfort. Flowing bell bottoms (fashion week), loose tops, strips are back, flowing dresses.. platform and cloths. fold over pants
Here are some more wide leg typed pants. 70's style bell bottoms will also be in style. Below are The Marisa Fir Lenin Pant by Victoria Secret.
This year, we again see the strips. Strips in any color for all style of clothing will do. And since strips bring about a more nautical feel, I decided to feature swimwear. Beneath is the Laguna Hills Pink Triangle Bikini by Hollister.
Many of us ladies are no stranger to the beloved Wedge. Of course the seasons to come will not be a stranger to this style of shoe. However, the wedge is beginning to modernize. Here is the right foot of "Lenny" by Maloles.
Do you love clogs as much as i do? Well I know you'll love that the clog is also evolving. This perfect combination of sandal, clog, and platform greatly pleases me. The Platform Clog by Gevenchi, shown in black, is also available in in brown and beige.
I must confess, when I fist got an email from Barneys with this picture of the new collection of Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony I was ecstatic. I feel in love with the varies shoes by the brand. My favorite was the one below, named "Mary Jane."

As I stated early, the upcoming season is all about a loose fit and comfort. This loose fit includes pants, dressed and skirts. Styled below is the Washed Silk Short by Juicy Couture.
Everyone loves going out. For those party girls, prints and fitted dresses are definitely back. This dress can be dressed up with some nice jewelry and heels or dressed down with a leather jacket and heels or laced boots. This blue-licious cheetah dress is known as the "Leather Taped Animal Print Ribbon Backless" dress by Burberry. Mouthful? I know.
As i previous stated to wear with the lovely party dress, you can accessorize your clothing with a multi-pocket leather. I doubt the ever go out of style!
I cant help but stress, that loose clothing is the way to go. Though not asymmetrical, like many of the 2011 trend tops, this "Cashmere-silk Draped Cardigan" by Black Label is no exception to the 2011 fashion rules. here is is shown with a fitted dress and some platforms. I would wear it with a pair of skinny jeans and fitted top and flats.
And lets not forget the cargos!! Yes, cargos will probably remain in style for the next couple of years. Actually, I don't see them going anywhere. These Skinny Leg Cargos by Calvin Klein is worn with strips and platform like clogs. This female is surely ready for this upcoming spring.

Of course the list of trends can go on, but these are styles that I've seen. If you have any to add, please comment.

And My Cherry Explodes...

Kinky title? Maybe. But this is my first blog, besides myspace long ago (lol), and my first post. Hence the phrase, popped cherry.

                                             ABOUT MOI:
I am currently a model who is taking a semester off from school. For years, my life has been evolving around beauty, fashion, and entertainment.

Born spoiled, I used my silver spoon to scoop up most designer brands. The words want was no enemy of mine. And usually, what I liked I wanted and what I wanted I received! Therefore i became fashionable with almost all the newest item. As i got older of course I had to learn the value of a dollar :/. So I began to work whenever i felt for it. And the money I got, I usually splurge on cloths and shoes.

Getting even older and beginning to live on my own in my first college year, I became a product junkie and I became obsessed with cosmetics. I decided to work for mary kay, but when certain products didn't work for me I figured I needed better facial products. I searched the web and decided it was time for me to go natural. My hair has been natural for a year now and most of my cosmetics are as well. My Youtube videos can be found Here

Though having done a beauty pageant and having done plays as a youth, I began really modeling with a simple shoot in 2010. I am still working on modeling as a career. I look forward to began print modeling, commercial features, promotional modeling, and even acting. Having a petit frame sometimes I do feel limited. Here are a few of my modeling sites Amoni B & Amoni MM
